Photoshop Work #2

I watched various excerpts of the Portrait Retouching tutorial for Photoshop CS5, because I was particularly interested in learning more about using the Curves adjustment layer to edit color and tone balance in photos. So, I experimented with a  photo (taken by Cristi!) by adding a Curves layer and adjusting both the RGB tones for overall color and the CMYK tones for skin color.

  1. I enjoy the colors used in this because it gives the picture a cooler and more relaxed tone. The after photo looks more enchanting compared to the simple natural photo of before.

  2. I love the brightness of the second picture! The edited image really glows in comparison to the flat colors of the first... you really made the image pop! Good job!
