Fashion Evolution
This is what i'm currently working on. I'm not really sure if it's finished yet?
I really love how the figures are cut out. The magazine cutout feel really emphasizes the idea of fashion. I would suggest either adding a texture or a color adjustment layer over it all, because the colors now sort of clash. Awesome composition and layout! :)
I love the vintage feeling of this, and the cut-out shapes are very interesting and visually compelling. The idea of evolution, or progression/digression, is apparent. Perhaps you should play off of this idea of "evolution" and relate it to your work even more obviously.
I love this! I love the raw, folk art ambiance to it - it's not too refined, but definitive in an artistic way. What will your next images look like? Is everything about fashion, or are you going to play upon evolution of the female identity in a different way? It looks like it should be in an interesting fashion magazine editorial. :)

ReplyDeleteI like how you faded the images on top of one another. It creates a collage formatting of which fits well for your image.
